What is the difference between a brushed motor and a brushless motor?

This is a DC brushless geared motor. Compared with a brushed motor, its outstanding features are as follows:

② It has the function of over-current, over-voltage and over-temperature protection. When the load of the project exceeds the torque of the motor and the current and temperature of the motor increase, or the input voltage exceeds the voltage of the motor, the motor will automatically power off and stop working. After reducing the load of the project, the motor can be connected to the power supply work again. Which can effectively avoid damage to the motor due to improper use.

③ Built-in Hall driver. With FG signal line output pulse, it can accurately measure speed; (non-professionals should not use this function,thanks)

Choose one of the speeds, there will be a corresponding load rated torque, so when you choose the no-load speed of the motor, we recommend that you refer to the load rated torque of the motor according to the load of the project instead of the stall torque of the motor.

The speed of the motor is different, and the torque of the motor is also different. For example, the motor parameter you choose is 12v 5rpm, the torque of the motor is 35KG.CM, If the motor parameter you choose is 12v 634rpm, and the torque of the motor is 1.2KG.CM. So the lower the motor speed you choose, the greater the torque of the motor. Conversely, the higher the speed you choose, the smaller the torque of the motor.

Some people will have a doubt. If the maximum speed of this motor is purchased, such as 1270rpm, if we reduce the speed of the motor from 1590rpm to 5rpm, when the motor is running at 5rpm, can the torque of the motor reach 35KG?

This is impossible. When the speed of the motor is adjusted, the torque of the motor will also decrease as the speed decreases. For example, the speed of the motor you bought is 1270rpm, and the torque of the motor is 2.4KG.CM. When you reduce the speed of the motor, the torque of the motor will be lower than 2.4KG. If the speed of the motor is greatly reduced, the torque of the motor will also be greatly reduced.

If you buy the lowest speed of this motor, such as 5rpm, the torque of the motor is 35KG, if you reduce the speed of the motor from 5rpm to 1rpm, the torque of the motor will also be lower than 35KG.

So you need to consider whether the final torque of the motor can reach the load of your project after the motor is decelerated. If not, you need to consider choosing other lower speeds or other motors.
